TEM images and corresponding SAED patterns of tetrataenite T-Tae (a, b) and troilite Tro (c, d). Tetrataenite contains abundant {111}fcc microtwins (note that the diffraction pattern in (b) has been obtained with the [201]fcc zone axis being non-parallel to the twin plane, i.e., with the twin domains being stacked along the viewing direction). Troilite is pervaded by (0001) stacking faults, which are decorated with partial dislocations.
