By using different colors, the results for the different seasons are shown. Red, green, and blue colors designate the results for the northern summer, equinoctial, and southern summer days, respectively. Bottom row: medians for three seasons. Left column gives results for scenario 1 when the data only from the Intermagnet network were used. Right column gives the results for scenario 2 when the data from both AWAGS and the Intermagnet network were exploited. The total intensity of the Earth’s magnetic field for the 1990 epoch is shown in the background (IGRF, (Finlay et al. 2010)). Solid lines represent the dip and geomagnetic equator.
