The top panel shows OMNI propagated IMF northward component (green) and three components of the magnetic field measured by Cluster-1 just in front of the Earth’s bow shock. At the end of the period shown, Cluster detected foreshock waves. The middle panelgives Standard AL (black), standard AU (green), THEMIS AL (blue), Baker Lake (BLC) magnetic north component, and Nuuk (Greenland) magnetic north component of ground magnetic field.
