Schematic of the internal layout of LIR referred from Fukuhara et al. (2011). The uncooled microbolometer camera works at room temperature. Hence, the baseplate on which the camera is mounted and the Ge lens on the camera are kept at room temperature by heaters. Temperature of the UMBA is controlled at 313 ± 0.01 K by the Peltier device to keep high sensitivity. Temperature of the baffle residing outside of the spacecraft varies with the solar incident angle
