Comparison between magnetic anomaly and seismic attenuation structure. The boundary of attenuation properties HAZ and LAZ is well correlated to that of the magnetic anomalies 6B and 6A by Kido and Fujiwara (2004). KPR, AS, KSC and KP represent Kyushu paleo ridge, Ashizuri, Kinan seamount chain and Kii peninsula, respectively. These five regions are divided by thin dotted lines. Pink solid lines indicate magnetic lineations. Pink shaded areas show the Kinan Seamounts. DSR represents deep strong reflector discovered by Park et al. (2002b)
