Both folding structures and faults are observable in the panels (c) and (d). Fault displacements at and immediately below the seafloor are enlarged in the top-right panels (e) and (f), suggesting that those faults are presently active. Green open circles in (b) and (d) show the upper boundary of the lower Shikoku Basin succession, which is middle Miocene to lower Pliocene in age (Ike et al. 2008)
