Spatial distribution of waveform differences among Green’s functions for three model pairs. Waveform differences were evaluated by the variance reduction (V.R.) of Eq. (3). The assumed moment tensor is the pure dip slip (M zz  = − M xx  = 1.0) source at a depth of 11 km. A band-pass filter with periods of 30–100 s was applied to each trace.
