Epicentral distribution and focal mechanism distribution from Ibaraki to Chiba prefectures. The parameters are same as those shown in Fig. 8. The depth contour lines of the Pacific Plate (Philippine Sea Plate) are shown in black (blue) in the JIVSM model (Koketsu et al. 2012). All of the focal mechanisms were CMT solutions with lower hemisphere of equal-area projection determined by JMA. FK, IB, and CB indicate Fukushima, Ibaraki, and Chiba prefectures. The arrows indicate the movement of the Pacific and Philippine Sea plates relative to that of the Okhotsk Plate (DeMets et al. 2010). The purple dashed line indicates the forearc segment boundary according to Bassett et al. (2016), and the green dashed line indicates the northeast limit of the Philippine Sea Plate according to Uchida et al. (2009). The black inverse triangle indicates the triple junction
