Maximum temperature projected onto the Ryugu’s geographic maps (Box-A, Box-C, Mid-Alt, and Box-B). a Shows the before correction maps, b shows the after correction maps (these corrected maps are similar to the topographic map obtained by LIDAR, Matsumoto et al. 2020), and c shows the difference maps between before and after the correction maps. These maps indicate that observed maximum temperatures merged and extracted combined all observed images for one rotation period of Ryugu projected onto the Ryugu map with \(0.5^\circ\) by \(0.5^\circ\) gridded. The spatially spreading temperature areas were converged after correction; for instance, the split hot areas of the Ejima Saxum were corrected (see 2018-08-01)
