Blue squares and numbers represent OBS station locations and numbers, respectively. Gray circles indicate shallow tremor activity in 2013 (Yamashita et al. 2015). Black dotted lines are depth contours of the top of the Philippine Sea Plate (Nakanishi et al. 2018). Gray shaded areas represent the coseismic slip area of the 1968 Hyuga-nada and 1996 earthquakes (Yagi et al. 1998, 1999). The light green bold line delineates the outer edge of the subducted Kyushu–Palau Ridge (Yamamoto et al. 2013)
