Results of stress tensor inversion by the multiple inverse method. Solutions are plotted on the lower hemisphere. Left and right panels represent the maximum and minimum principal stresses, respectively. The stress ratio φ is defined as φ = (σ2 − σ3)/(σ1 − σ3) and represented by color. Red and blue show φ = 1 and φ = 0, respectively. In the blank regions, stress tensor inversion was not performed because of less than 20 focal mechanisms.
