The relations between the source-receiver horizontal distance and the amplitude of induced magnetic field for the stationary source method (triangles) and for the towed source method (circles) are shown. Open and solid symbols show the sources that locate to the west and to the east of the receiver, respectively. The mid-point between the surface and the bottom electrodes is chosen as the bipole source location for the towed source method to calculate the source-receiver separation shown in Fig. 7(c).
