Results obtained by the Monte Carlo simulation are compared with the analytical solution for the set of Fig. 1(f). Figures 2(a), 2(b) and 2(c) illustrate and values, respectively. In each set, the simple averages over ten thousand sets for m = 200 (dashed curve) and m = 500 (dotted curve) are compared with the analytical solution (solid curve). The number of stations within each distance limit is indicated.
