Example of BSR picking from the seismic profile generated by the KR0211 cruise. The picked BSRs are marked with blue triangles; at these points, the seismic profiles exhibited the characteristic of high-amplitude reverse-polarity waveforms paralleling the seafloor compared with the seafloor reflector waveforms. The two-way travel time is converted to subseafloor depth using a P-wave velocity obtained from Site C0002 of the IODP Expeditions (Expedition 314 Scientists 2009)
