Red and green symbols indicate the estimated inelastic strain rates for the period immediately after and 18 years after the main shock, respectively. These symbols are plotted in the middle of the time-span used for calculating inelastic strain. The earlier time lapse window is indicated by a red arrow. The latter window corresponds to the width of the symbol. The blue circle indicates the average strain rate for the entire target area, estimated from the F-net moment tensor solution. The solid line is a regression line for the average rate change data
