Tick labels on top and bottom represent day of the year (DOY) and time in UT (~  LT-9 h), respectively. The sudden storm commencement (SSC) occurred at  ~  04:45 on DOY 076. The main phase (MP) of the storm started at  ~  06:30 UT and continued until  ~  22:00 UT when Dst hit a minimum  ~   −  223 nT. During the MP the Kp rose to a maximum of  ~  8. The recovery phase continued through the following days
