Comparison for the given (1993/10/12 MJMA7.1) event and synthetics for 3D geological model (Sekiguchi et al 2013, 2016) modified as Vsmin250 (mid panel) and Vsmin500 (right panel). The data and synthetics are band passed within 0.05–0.4 Hz. The model with low velocities (Vsmin250) preserves the SL1’ phase in OSA and WOS stations, and the shift of SL1’ surface wave hodochrone for stations further from ISK is due to higher average surface wave velocity
