Difference between the Ernst et al. (this study) and Thomas 1993 Deimos global shape models. The two models are in generally good agreement with one another. The new model is nearly the same as the previous models in some areas (white in the color scale), larger in some areas (green in the color scale), and smaller in some areas (brown in the color scale). The new model on average is slightly larger (~ 30 m, corresponding to ~ 0.5% of the mean body radius; ~ 2% larger in volume) than the Thomas model. Much of the volume increase is concentrated in the area between ~ 15–30ºS and ~ 140–190ºE where additional limb vectors have built out the shape
