Static stress changes from Mw 7.6 event for south-dipping plane of the Mw 7.4 event. Star indicates the epicenter of the Mw 7.4 event. The narrow rectangle is the surface projection of the fault plane of the main event and wider rectangle is the Mw 7.4 south-dipping fault plane. The thicker line of the rectangles shows the upper edge of the dipping planes (ad) show different depths for the static stress changes and indicate there was an increase of stress around the hypocenter of Mw 7.4 event
