Required precision in centrifugal acceleration measurements for the nine selected bodies assuming a mission duration of 10 times the libration periods specific for each body, except Mars whereby the mission duration is equal to one Martian year. The accelerations are evaluated at the equator (\(\phi = 0\)), with the values of the radii shown in Table 1. The dashed red and black lines are, respectively, the compact and high-performance foreseen precision of the instruments, i.e. the instrument self-noise. The labels show the aimed libration amplitude accuracies for the instrument’s measurements. The values are in degrees and are equal to \(\kappa [A_{L_{\max}}-A_{L_{\min}}]\) with \(\kappa =0.1\)
