An example of the magnetic fluctuations observed on March 8, 2008 on the orbit shown in Fig. 2. The four top panels are 1-s averages of the magnetic field components B x , B y , and B z in the SSE coordinate system. Gray curves are the solar wind magnetic field observed by ACE, shifted to the Kaguya position by using the solar wind speed. ACE data are in GSE coordinates, but the difference between SSE and GSE is negligible. Bottom panel is the dynamic spectrum of the B y component obtained at a 32-Hz sampling period and Fourier transformed every 32 s.
