Dashed lines represent the depth of the top of Philippine Sea plate and the contour from yellow to red means the slip of 1923 Kanto earthquake, which epicenter is black star (Sato et al., 2005). Blue rectangles adjacent to the Tokyo Bay and Boso swarm area show the 1989 Tokyo Bay SSE (Hirose et al., 2000) and the 2007 Boso SSE (NIED, 2007), respectively.
